Buy the right rotisserie for your Weber Genesis, Spirit or Summit grill.
Weber Genesis Rotisserie Selection
There are two Weber Genesis rotisseries available but they are not interchangeable between the different Genesis grills.
If you have a Weber Genesis S 330, or any of the newer Genesis grills (E/S 300, 310, 320) then the Weber Genesis rotisserie you need is the Weber 7519.
When you use the new Weber Genesis rotisserie please make sure you have a heat proof glove or oven mitt available. One thing I do not like about the new Genesis rotisserie is that the wood handle has been replaced by a metal loop.
The wood on the older rotisserie was a great insulator and never got hot. The metal handle on the new rotisserie will burn you in a heartbeat if you grab it with your bare hand straight off the grill.
If you have an older Weber Genesis (Silver, Gold, Platinum, 1000-5000) then the of the official Weber rotisserie is no longer available. An aftermarket equivalent is sold by OneGrill and can be bought here.
If you need some inspiration for what you can do with a rotisserie on a gas grill then check out this post on using a Weber rotisserie!
Weber Spirit Rotisserie Selection
There are three Weber Spirit rotisseries and the right one depends upon when your Spirit grill was made.
If you have an older Spirit such as the 500 or 700 then the Weber Spirit rotisserie then the official Weber rotisserie is no longer available. An aftermarket equivalent is sold by OneGrill and can be bought here. This is the same rotisserie that fits the older Genesis grills (1000-5000, Silver, Gold Platinum).
If your Spirit is a 200 or 300 series made between 2007 and 2012 then the Weber Spirit rotisserie you need is the Weber 7572. These Spirit grills are easily identifiable as they have burner control knobs on the right side of the grill.
The 2013 Spirit models (200 or 300 Series) have front facing burner control knobs and the Weber Spirit rotisserie you need is the Weber 7614. This product is labeled very poorly on Amazon. The initial Amazon description says this is the rotisserie for the Weber Spirit Genesis and Platinum grills which is just confusing as heck. Further in the description it states this is the rotisserie for the 200/300 Spirits. I placed a quick call to Weber Customer Service (1800-446-1071) and they confirmed that the Weber 7614 is the correct rotisserie for the 2013 Spirit grills.
Weber Summit Rotisseries
There is a Weber Summit rotisserie for the 400 series (Weber 7570 ) and one for the 600 series (Weber 7571). Both of these rotisseries come with four forks which makes spinning two chickens pretty easy. These rotisseries do not have handles so you will need some oven mitts to take the hot spit off your grill.
The biggest difference in rotisserie cooking on the Summit grills concerns the burners. Some Summit grills have a dedicated rear mounted infrared rotisserie burner while others (420, 620) do not. How you set your burners, etc will be different depending upon which Summit grill you are working with.
